Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brendon Aberdeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Psycho Chris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brendon Aberdeen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Psycho Chris!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Psycho Chris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Aberdeen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chris does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Aberdeen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chris defends it well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chris can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chris tries to kick Aberdeen off but Aberdeen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Aberdeen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chris is just riding it out for now. Aberdeen eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chris is in a horrible position here. Aberdeen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Chris decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aberdeen wants to improve his position but Chris is controlling well.

Chris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aberdeen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aberdeen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chris's back!

Aberdeen seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Aberdeen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Chris has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
