The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muniz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gomes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Muniz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gomes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Muniz is in Gomes's guard.
Gomes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Muniz tries to free his leg and advance position but Gomes is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
