Metharom is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Emancipator - Wolf Drawn. Kulap Metharom will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metharom is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Metharom has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hutch is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Metharom tries to sprawl but Hutch drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hutch wants to free his trapped foot but Metharom is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Metharom is positioning himself well to prevent Hutch advancing to mount.
Hutch is just content to waste time from the top position. Metharom takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hutch is looking to break free of the clinch but Metharom has double underhooks.
