Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Richter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Richter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Richter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Miller!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richter misses with a few strikes there.
Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Richter to counter with a crisp jab.
Miller shoots in but no luck this time.
Miller throws a hook to the side of Richter's head but Richter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Richter fails to land with a series of punches.
Richter throws a series of punches but Miller moves out of range.
And Miller tries to counter it with a takedown but Richter pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Richter bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Richter stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet.
Charles Richter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Miller.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Miller misses with an uppercut.
Richter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Richter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miller was well out of range. Poor timing from Richter.
Miller drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Richter defends it well.

Richter tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Richter. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet.

Miller closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Richter's guard.
Richter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
My spies in Jedi Academy inform me that Miller has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Richter is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Richter pinned against the cage. Richter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Miller closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Richter misses with a punch on the inside.
Miller tries for a takedown but Richter manages to get underhooks.
Richter is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Miller turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Miller manages to end up in side control.

Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Richter is looking to regain half guard here but Miller keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller wants to control but Richter is keeping him busy.
Miller tries to move into full mount but can't pass Richter's legs.

Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Richter prevents Miller from improving position.

Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Miller tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The strikes coming from Miller are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Miller dodges the punch combination from Richter.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Richter moves away.
Richter throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease.

Richter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Miller wants to take a breather but Richter is having none of it.

Miller is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Richter is just riding it out for now. Miller eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Richter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Miller uses his free foot to push down on Richter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Richter.

Richter drops Miller with a beautiful combination! Miller stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Richter is looking for the KO!

Richter lands with a right and another and another! Miller is in big trouble! Richter lands again and this time it's lights out for Miller! A quality knockout there for Richter.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charles Richter!
After winning the bout, Charles Richter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
