Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Corrigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avar Nurmagomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Corrigan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Flagpole Sitta. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov lands with a nice body punch.
Nurmagomedov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Corrigan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nurmagomedov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nurmagomedov is trying to control Corrigan's posture but Corrigan avoids it.
Corrigan is trying to get an arm triangle but Nurmagomedov is defending well.
Corrigan is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nurmagomedov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Corrigan gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nurmagomedov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Corrigan lets go of the hold and Nurmagomedov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mark Corrigan!
After the fight, Mark Corrigan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
