The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergen tries to clinch up but Boulden circles away and keeps his distance.
Bergen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boulden connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bergen scrambles back to his feet.
Boulden tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bergen flicks out a counter leg kick but Boulden steps away.
Bergen tries for a takedown but Boulden sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Boulden lands with a good body shot.
Boulden lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bergen takes a step back to recover.
Steve Boulden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bergen moves into the clinch.

Boulden has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Bergen goes down! Boulden dives on top of him - Bergen manages to get guard.

It looks like James Bergen has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boulden landing some decent shots from guard.

Boulden stands up over Bergen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Boulden postures up in Bergen's guard and throws a big left but Bergen blocks it.
Boulden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bergen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bergen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boulden working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bergen's head.

Bergen is rocked!
Bergen can't keep his opponent in guard - Boulden advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bergen is still in real trouble! Can Boulden finish him?
Boulden lands a big elbow - Bergen is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Boulden!

A very excited looking Steve Boulden rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
