Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Alaniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alaniz comes to the cage accompanied by Beck - Loser . Azevedo has chosen Puddle Of Mudd - Psycho as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Charlie Alaniz is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azevedo moves out of range of the body kick from Alaniz.
A little jabbing left from Azevedo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Alaniz doesn't manage to clinch there - Azevedo circles away.
Alaniz throws a body punch but Azevedo moves out of range.
Alaniz has a takedown stuffed.
Azevedo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Alaniz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alaniz shoots for a double leg takedown but Azevedo sprawls well. He's pushed Alaniz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Alaniz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alaniz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Azevedo's guard.
Our spies down at at Heart Cave inform us that Azevedo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Azevedo quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Alaniz has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Azevedo celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
