Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Akki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Parker might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Flash - Queen . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akki ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Parker throws the left hand but Akki avoids the punch easily.
That kick from Akki tenderised Parker's leg. Parker is trying to keep his angry face on.
Some wild striking there from Parker.
We've been hearing reports that Parker has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Parker pushes Akki up against the cage in a clinch.
Parker working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Parker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Akki scores with a shot to the side of Parker's head.
Parker swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Parker tries a body shot but Akki blocks it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker is looking to cinch up a triangle. Akki throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Parker's body to avoid the submission. Parker has instead reached around Akki's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Parker arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kelvin Parker!
