Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Tono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcio Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Tono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcio Andre!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andre doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tono counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Tono closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tono wants to free his trapped foot but Andre is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tono has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Andre ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Andre no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tono, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
