Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Appleseed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miroslav Provel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Provel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eyes Set to Kill - "Broken Frames". Miroslav Provel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Appleseed thumps Provel with a low kick.
Provel throws a series of punches but Appleseed moves out of range.
Appleseed swinging wildly here.
Appleseed takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Provel closes the distance and clinches.
Provel wants to take the fight to the mat but Appleseed manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Appleseed tries to circle away but Provel has him pinned against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Appleseed's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Appleseed gets control of Provel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Appleseed will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Appleseed is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Provel is aware though and is defending well.

Provel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Appleseed's head.

Provel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Appleseed works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Provel lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Provel passes Appleseed's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Appleseed might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Provel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Appleseed looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Provel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Provel is working for a guillotine from mount but Appleseed frees his head quite easily.

We've been informed that Provel has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Provel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

After the fight, Miroslav Provel was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
