The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Fakker. Haynes shrugs it off though.
Fakker fails with a takedown attempt.
Fakker tries to clinch there but Haynes circles away.
Fakker throws a head kick but Haynes moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Haynes. Those never looked like landing.
Fakker shoots in for a takedown but Haynes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A head kick misses from Haynes.
Fakker unleashes a big counter combination but Haynes bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Fakker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fakker looks winded!
Haynes throws a hook but Fakker avoids it easily.
Fakker gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Haynes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fakker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fakker moves in looking to clinch but Haynes pushes him off.
Haynes stuffs the takedown attempt from Fakker. Fakker gets slowly back to his feet.
As Fakker looks to move away, Haynes throws a big counter combo bu Fakker just gets out of the way.
Milo Haynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mada Fakker.

Fakker tries to clinch but Haynes is having none of it.

Haynes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Haynes avoids the head kick by Fakker.
Haynes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fakker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fakker is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Fakker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haynes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fakker somewhat.
Fakker tries to keep at a distance but Haynes has taken the fight into the clinch.
Haynes jumps guard and drags Fakker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Haynes seems keen to control Fakker's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haynes looking for a triangle here. Fakker is fighting it but it looks tight! Haynes pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Fakker is tapping out - this one is all over!
