The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the hammer tries to bum rush HASTINGS with a series of wild strikes but HASTINGS uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
the hammer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
HASTINGS swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting the hammer counter with a right hand.
HASTINGS misses with a combination
and the hammer counters with a one-two to the body.
the hammer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
HASTINGS misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

ERIC HASTINGS seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
