Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Semir Vaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vaja throws a lazy head kick
and Knox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Vaja is looking to break free of the clinch but Knox has double underhooks.
Knees in the clinch landing for Knox.
Knox pulls guard effortlessly.
Vaja gets to his feet. Knox looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Knox throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vaja.
Vaja slaps away a takedown attempt from Knox, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vaja rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knox tries to clinch up but Vaja circles away and keeps his distance.
Vaja scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knox shoots in and drives through. Vaja sprawls well.
Vaja tries to bum rush Knox with a series of wild strikes but Knox uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vaja throws a sloppy head kick and Knox moves out of range easily.
Vaja throws a series of punches but Knox moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knox.

Semir Vaja is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Knox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

As Knox backs off Vaja throws a huge counter combo but Knox manages to avoid it all.
Sloppy strikes from Vaja. Those never looked like landing.
Oooooh!!! Vaja has knocked Knox down with a huge combo! Vaja steps away and waves a wobbly Knox back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Knox, as that shot connected.
A head kick misses from Vaja.
Vaja pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vaja looks winded!
Vaja lands a left and a right that send Knox crashing to the mat, dazed. Vaja thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Knox is rocked!
Vaja lands a leg kick that knocks Knox off balance momentarily.
Oh Knox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Knox gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Knox tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Vaja is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Knox buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Knox!! Knox is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Vaja throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Semir Vaja!
