Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neal Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Black Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ward.

Diaz gets tackled into the cage by Ward. Ward maintains the clinch.
Ward lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Diaz or not.
Ward stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Ward lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ward wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well.

Neal Ward overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ward is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diaz pulls his head out easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ward is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Ward looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Neal Ward showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ward has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
