The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb tries to clinch there but Rotch circles away.
Rotch tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Webb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Webb clinches up with Rotch and pushes him back against the cage.
Rotch is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Webb pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Webb stops a takedown attempt from Rotch.

Webb lands a takedown into guard.

Rotch wriggles free and stands up.
Webb misses with a takedown attempt - Rotch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rotch swats away the attempt to clinch by Webb.
Rotch drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Webb defends it well.

Webb dives in and grabs Rotch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rotch pushes down on Webb's head and hops out.

Webb shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rotch wants to stand back up but Webb manages to pass into side control.

Rotch looks to move to half guard but instead Webb has passed into mount! Damn!

Webb working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Rotch looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Webb! Submission of the night perhaps?
