The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nigma ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nigma tries to close the distance and clinch but Lannister swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nigma darts in looking for a takedown but Lannister gets double underhooks and turns Nigma into the cage.
Lannister went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nigma closes the distance and clinches up with Lannister, looking for a takedown. Nigma pushes Lannister against the cage but Lannister circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lannister doesn't manage to clinch there - Nigma circles away.
Nigma tries to counter with a clinch but Lannister shakes him off and moves away.
Manoel Lannister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lannister rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nigma moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Despite the aggression on Nigma's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Nigma swings wildly with an uppercut but Lannister uses good head movement to avoid it.

It seemed like Nigma was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Nigma shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lannister as he avoids it easily.

Nigma tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lannister manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nigma changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lannister tries to avoid it but Nigma manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lannister to the ground. Lannister escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nigma tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nigma looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nigma shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lannister eats them both and turns towards Nigma to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Nigma shoots in looking for a takedown. Lannister tries to sprawl out of it but Nigma keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lannister manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Nigma wants to counter the offense by Lannister and move into the clinch position.
