Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DJ Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shaw's waist but Shaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doyle off to one side.
Doyle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shaw manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Shaw slaps away a takedown attempt from Doyle, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shaw is looking to counter with head kicks.

Doyle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shaw is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Doyle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Doyle somewhat.

Doyle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shaw as he jumps to the side.

and Shaw decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Doyle's guard.
Shaw distracts Doyle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Doyle controls Shaw momentarily but Shaw frees himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Shaw is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Doyle reverses the position - he's now on top in Shaw's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Doyle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doyle has managed to get both his arms back between Shaw's legs - danger averted.

Doyle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Doyle goes for a double leg but Shaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shaw continues to drive forward.

Shaw feints and as Doyle raises his hands in defense, Shaw changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
