Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
39 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Hughs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
33 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Hill!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill cracks Hughs with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hill has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hughs to stand back up!
It looks like Joe Hughs has been cut.
Hill is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hughs.
Hill dodges the punch combination from Hughs.
Hughs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hughs is leaning against Hill and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Hughs lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Bobby Hill has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hughs is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hill is defending well for now.
Hill swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hill slows down the pace here.
Hill avoiding damage as Hughs throws knees to the body.
Hughs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hill throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hughs swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Hill counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hill blocks a head kick by Hughs.
A head kick misses from Hughs.
Hill on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hughs. Hughs obviously looking to wear him down.
Hughs throws a right hand that Hill ducks under and follows up with a left that Hill also avoids with ease.
Hill lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hughs's sensitive parts.
Hill scores with a hook to the body. Hughs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hill drops Hughs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hughs looks back up at him and smiles so Hill waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Hughs is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hill finds Hughs's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hughs flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hill lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hughs will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bobby Hill!
