Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barton Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Landeka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landeka throws an overhand right that lands on Rhodes's shoulder, as Rhodes tries to avoid the shot.

Landeka dives in and scores a takedown into Rhodes's guard.
Rhodes is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Landeka dives into side control.

Rhodes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

What can Rhodes do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Rhodes is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Landeka gets his way!

Landeka has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rhodes has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rhodes is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Rhodes's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rhodes bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Rhodes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Landeka is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Rhodes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Landeka won't be happy with that.

Landeka manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rhodes's guard. Nice work there by Landeka.

Rhodes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Landeka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A close second round but Adrian Landeka will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Rhodes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

and Landeka counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Landeka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rhodes closes the distance and clinches up with Landeka, looking for a takedown. Rhodes pushes Landeka against the cage but Landeka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Landeka wants to control but Rhodes is keeping him busy.

Landeka stands up and beckons Rhodes to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Landeka. No joy for Rhodes on that attempt.

Barton Rhodes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Adrian Landeka is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Rhodes is fighting off a takedown attempt but Landeka is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rhodes to the mat. Rhodes regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Landeka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
