PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Silverhielm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Duim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silverhielm might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Theme Tune to Islam. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Duim!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silverhielm throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Duim staying out of range there.
Silverhielm connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Silverhielm cracks a nice hook into Duim's ribs.

Duim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silverhielm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Duim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Silverhielm closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Silverhielm lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Danny Duim has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Silverhielm takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Silverhielm throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Duim blocks it with crossed arms.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silverhielm controlling the action here for a moment.
Duim takes an elbow to the forehead.
Silverhielm creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Duim's defenses.
Silverhielm lands an elbow inside.

That has opened up Danny Duim's cut even more.
Silverhielm lands an elbow just above Duim 's eye.
Silverhielm prevents a takedown attempt there.
Duim blocks an elbow strike.
Duim wants to take the fight to the mat but Silverhielm manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Pierre Silverhielm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Duim.
Duim takes an elbow to the temple.

The cut above Danny Duim's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Silverhielm comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Duim is rocked!

Danny Duim's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Silverhielm.
Duim is still on wobbly legs! Can Silverhielm finish him?

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Danny Duim's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
