Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drugi Box (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay blocks a head kick by Box.

Jay pulls Box in close to his closed guard and prevents Box from doing any damage or advancing position.

Jay wriggles free and stands up.
Box looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jay throws an overhand right that lands on Box's shoulder, as Box tries to avoid the shot.
Jay waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Box.
Jay ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Box throws a head kick but Jay moves out of range.
Jay lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Box uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jay.
Jay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Box throws out the jab.
Jay throws a front kick aimed at Box's knee but Box avoids it well.
Jay works the jab nicely.
The fighters circling - Jay throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Box lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jay, as that shot connected.
Box avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Box takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Box fakes the leg kick and cracks Jay in the body.
Box throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jay slips a straight right by Box.
Jay throws out a loose jab but Box uses good head movement to avoid it.
Box looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Jay has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Box.
Jay throws a jab but it's blocked by Box.
Jay lands the left hand.
A combination from Jay does no damage.

Jay fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
