Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Davis has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Al Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Martin Teller!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis's corner calls for a 1-2. Davis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Davis has a takedown stuffed.
Teller defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davis.
Teller doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Teller gets a takedown into half guard.
Teller prevents Davis from improving his position.
Davis is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Teller is taking a breather. Davis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Davis keeping hold of Teller's head, controlling as best he can.
Teller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
It looks like Teller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Davis regains full guard. Nicely done.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Teller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Teller manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Davis on his heels. He'll look to pass Davis's guard now, I'm sure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Teller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Teller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Teller defends it easily.
Teller working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Teller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Teller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Davis working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Teller has passed into half guard!
Davis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Teller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Teller's back!
You can see the frustration on Teller's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Teller turns into Davis and is now in his guard.
Teller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Teller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Teller moves in looking to clinch but Davis pushes him off.
Teller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Davis connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Teller's hands.
Davis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Teller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Teller wants to clinch.
Teller tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Teller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Davis did well to prevent Teller getting side control.

Davis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teller is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Teller connects with a nice short shot to Davis's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Davis has his foot on Teller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Teller works his way back into a safe position though.

I've got Teller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
