Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Godehard enables Jegou to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Godehard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jegou sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Godehard's guard.
Godehard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jegou seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jegou decides to return to a standing position.
Jegou lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jegou moves into the clinch.
Jegou jumps into guard, dragging Godehard to the mat.
Godehard being controlled here momentarily.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Jegou manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Godehard is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Godehard is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Jegou has denied him.
Godehard stalling in the clinch but Jegou improves position.
Godehard seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.
Jegou's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jegou connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Godehard covering up! Jegou comes in with a big uppercut and Godehard goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
