The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donaven takes the fight into the clinch.

Donaven works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Spencer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Donaven pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spencer is keeping the position for now.
Spencer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Spencer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Donaven pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Donaven is trying to control the action in half guard but Spencer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Donaven stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Donaven closes the distance and clinches.
Donaven wants to break the clinch but can't.

Donaven ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Donaven no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Spencer postures up in Donaven's guard and throws a big left but Donaven blocks it.

Donaven utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Spencer is looking to take a break and control but Donaven is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Donaven is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Spencer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
