Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kun Dalini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kun Dalini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michaels closes the distance and pushes Dalini back into the cage.
Dalini misses with a punch to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Dalini's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Come on Michaels - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Dalini manages to break the clinch.
Dalini shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Michaels but Michaels pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dalini swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Michaels shoots in and gets a takedown into Dalini's guard.

Dalini manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Michaels moves into range and clinches up with Dalini.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A battle for position here, against the cage.

Michaels breaks from the clinch.
Dalini is looking to clinch.
Dalini avoids a kick to the body.
Dalini misses with a wild body shot.
Michaels tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Dalini closes the distance and clinches.
Dalini tries to break the clinch but Michaels is controlling the position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Michaels takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Michaels is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dalini is defending well.
Michaels has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dalini avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kun Dalini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Michaels.

Dalini scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Michaels manages to mount him!
Dalini tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Michaels postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dalini looks a forlorn figure.

Michaels looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Michaels looking to control and managing it successfully.
Dalini on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dalini tries to get out of the position.
Let's hope that Michaels has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
BOOM! Michaels connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Michaels controlling from mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Michaels landing strikes from the mount.
Michaels scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dalini?
Dalini is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Michaels dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dalini looks to land a right hand but Michaels moved out of range.
Dalini looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Michaels is fending him off so far but Dalini persists. Nope, Michaels circles away and we're back to standing.
Dalini throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Michaels's waist but Michaels gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dalini off to one side.
Michaels has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dalini throws a head kick but Michaels moves out of range.
Michaels goes for a double leg but Dalini avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dalini continues to drive forward.
Michaels cracks Dalini with an open hand slap.
Michaels closes the distance and clinches up with Dalini, looking for a takedown. Michaels pushes Dalini against the cage but Dalini circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Michaels drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dalini is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Michaels dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Michaels is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dalini will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Dalini can't do much from the bottom here.

Michaels cracks Dalini with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Michaels in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Michaels has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Michaels rushes Dalini and presses him up against the cage.

Dalini is trying to break the clinch but Michaels is controlling him.
Michaels is trying to pull guard but Dalini turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kun Dalini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Michaels.
Michaels's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Michaels wants a takedown but no success here.

Dalini breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Michaels goes for a double leg but Dalini avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dalini continues to drive forward.

Michaels shoots in and bounces Dalini off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Michaels is breathing heavily.

Dalini looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Michaels has picked Dalini up and slammed him! Dalini can't keep hold of the triangle and Michaels manages to pass to side control!
Dalini is working to avoid the ground and pound but Michaels connects with a decent elbow.
Michaels scores with a couple of short elbows.
Dalini looks to move to half guard but instead Michaels has passed into mount! Damn!

Dalini somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Michaels fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Michaels gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Michaels lands an uppercut.
Michaels tries to pull guard but Dalini forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Michaels pulls guard successfully.
Dalini trying to control the position from guard on top but Michaels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Michaels trying to keep a closed guard but Dalini is proving a slippery customer.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Michaels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Dalini shoots in for a takedown but Michaels shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dalini wants to control from the top but Michaels keeps moving.

Michaels has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dalini off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Dalini tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Michaels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dalini shoots in but no luck this time.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Michaels stuffs the takedown.

Michaels has a takedown stuffed.
Dalini was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Michaels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dalini is fending him off so far but Michaels persists. Nope, Dalini circles away and we're back to standing.
Michaels misses with a takedown attempt - Dalini sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dalini tries to score a power double leg takedown but Michaels sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dalini somewhat.
Michaels looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Dalini tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Michaels swivels and escapes.
Michaels closes the distance and clinches up with Dalini, looking for a takedown. Michaels pushes Dalini against the cage but Dalini circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dalini shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Michaels sprawls well. Michaels wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dalini gets slowly back to his feet.

Dalini knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Michaels on the ground.

Michaels thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Michaels is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kun Dalini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Randy Michaels is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Dalini is looking to regain half guard here but Michaels keeps moving and retains side control.

Randy Michaels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Michaels has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
