Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Mokujin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mati Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mokujin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Mokujin is keen to just control but Kingston is a slippery customer.
Kingston is trying to stand.

Kingston is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mokujin pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mokujin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kingston is controlling Mokujin's trapped leg to prevent Mokujin from advancing to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kingston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mokujin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mokujin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kingston does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kingston is looking to control Mokujin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kingston avoid being mounted?

Mokujin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kingston keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mokujin tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Mokujin is thwarting Kingston's attempts to control the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kingston flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kingston utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mokujin is breathing heavily.

Kingston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mokujin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mokujin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kingston is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kingston lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Kingston is looking for a kimura here.
Mokujin is not content to let Kingston control the position.
Kingston wants to free his trapped foot but Mokujin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kingston is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mati Kingston will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mokujin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mokujin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kingston swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kingston is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Mokujin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kingston manages to avoid it.

Kingston throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mokujin was covering up waiting for the punch and Kingston finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kingston tries to free his leg and advance position but Mokujin is retaining full guard.
Kingston is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mokujin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kingston wants to pass the guard but Mokujin is keeping the position.
Kingston has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kingston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mokujin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kingston, into his guard.

Mokujin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kingston looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kingston looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kingston!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kingston has hold of Mokujin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mokujin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kingston cranks the arm and Mokujin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mokujin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mati Kingston!
A very excited looking Mati Kingston made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
