Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artem Soikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins comes to the cage accompanied by Coming home -Dirty money. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Hopkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Artem Soikov!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins scores with a sloppy right hand. Soikov should have avoided that one.
Soikov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hopkins finds it's way round the side to connect with Soikov's head.
Soikov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hopkins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Soikov enables Hopkins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Soikov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hopkins drops back looking for a leg! Soikov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Soikov manages to kick Hopkins off! Hopkins jumps back into Soikov's guard.
Hopkins stands and throws Soikov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hopkins is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Soikov is trying to escape and Hopkins transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Soikov is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hopkins! Very nice indeed!

Alex Hopkins decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
