Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Howard Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Takano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Howard Goon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuki Takano!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goon moves out of range of the body kick.
Goon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Goon has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Takano.
Takano connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Goon misses with a body shot.
Takano takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A telegraphed right hand from Goon misses the target.
Goon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Goon misses the shot to the body.
Goon moves out of range of the strikes.
Goon takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Takano fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Goon checks it well.

Takano throws the left hand but Goon avoids the punch easily.

Goon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Takano moves away.
Donk. Goon catches Takano right on the button with a cross.
Takano misses with an uppercut.
Takano scores with a head kick.
Takano scores with a spinning back kick!
Takano has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Goon blocks the body kick.
Goon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Takano closes the distance and clinches.
Goon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Takano makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Goon presses Takano against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Goon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Takano backwards.
Goon slows down the pace here.
Goon's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Goon breaks the clinch.
No joy there for Goon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Takano lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Goon lands with a good body shot.
Goon throws a hook to the side of Takano's head but Takano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Goon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Goon throws a lazy body kick
and Takano finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Goon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

and Takano counters with a left to the body.
Goon misses with a head kick.

enabling Takano to counter with a crisp jab.
Takano lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Takano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Takano counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Takano.
A right hook to the body lands for Takano.
Takano misses with a body punch.
Takano stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Takano throws a punch but it's blocked by Goon.
Goon tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Takano's elbow.
Takano misses with the head strike.
Goon prevents a body shot from Takano.

Takano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Goon misses with the body kick
and Takano counters with a nice low kick that buckles Goon's knee momentarily.
Takano looks for the body kick but Goon saw that one coming.
Goon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Takano throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Goon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Takano tries to clinch there but Goon circles away.

Takano throws a push kick but Goon slaps the foot to one side.
Takano takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Goon throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Goon misses with a body kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takano! But no joy.
That kick from Goon tenderised Takano's leg. Takano is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Goon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Yuki Takano has been cut.
Goon is looking to wear down Takano with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Takano lands a nice leg kick that just misses Goon's sensitive parts.
Goon misses with an uppercut. Takano saw that one coming.
Goon misses with a body kick.
Goon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takano manages to avoid it.

It looked like Goon was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Takano.

Goon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Takano tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Takano throws a low kick but it's checked well by Goon.
Takano misses with a hook. Goon ducked under it nicely.
Goon swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Takano gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Goon blocking some punches.

Takano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Takano throws a low kick, looking for Goon's leg but Goon calmly moves out of range.

Goon walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Takano checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Goon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Takano on the side of the head.

Nice uppercut lands for Goon. That snapped Takano's head back.

Goon lands a right hand.

Takano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Takano throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Goon throws a push kick but Takano slaps the foot to one side.
Takano lets loose with a powerful body kick. Goon will feel that in the morning.
Goon moves away from the strike by Takano.
Goon avoids the body shot from Takano.
Goon swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Takano scores with a jab to the head.

Takano thows a left - swing and a miss!
Goon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Takano backs up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Takano connects with a nice looking jab.
Goon throws a half hearted mid kick.

A close second round but Yuki Takano will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Takano counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Goon out cold! What a finish! Takano is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuki Takano!
Yuki Takano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
