Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kang Xi Jia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chet Lamare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xi Jia comes to the cage accompanied by Kung-Fu Hustle. Lamare has chosen Opeth as his entrance music. Kang Xi Jia is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xi Jia throws a wild body kick that Lamare sees coming a mile off.
Xi Jia has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Perkele! Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Lamare checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Xi Jia throws a lazy right hand but Lamare sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Xi Jia manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lamare on his heels. He'll look to pass Lamare's guard now, I'm sure.
Lamare told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Xi Jia has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lamare is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Xi Jia.

Lamare throws a solid leg kick but Xi Jia takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lamare.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lamare crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Xi Jia - the referee stops the clock and Lamare gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Xi Jia. Lamare manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kang Xi Jia will probably get the nod.

Xi Jia will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Xi Jia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lamare has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Xi Jia throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lamare was covering up waiting for the punch and Xi Jia finishes the takedown easily into guard.
