The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tauer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Plouman manages to avoid it.
Plouman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tauer pinned against the cage. Tauer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tauer throws a leg kick but Plouman sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Plouman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tauer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Plouman somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
