Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jospeh Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Fred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jospeh Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ed Fred!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Topper Green and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fred forces Bush back against the cage and clinches.

Fred's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fred doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bush counters with a shoot takedown. Fred fights it but they end up in guard.

Fred wriggles free and stands up.
Bush misses with an attempted mid kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fred is defended easily by Bush.
A quick step to the side and Bush tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fred shoots in but Bush avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jospeh Bush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ed Fred.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fred changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bush tries to avoid it but Fred manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bush to the ground. Bush escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bush throws a sloppy head kick and Fred moves out of range easily.

Fred closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bush wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fred fails to pull guard.
Fred is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Bush pulls guard successfully.
Bush pulls Fred in close to prevent any damage.
Fred trying to control the position from guard on top but Bush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bush looking for a sweep. Not yet Bush, not yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fred trying to control but Bush is working from the bottom.
Bush might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fred throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Fred in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Fred trying to control but Bush is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Fred moves out of range of the body kick from Bush.

Fred lands a left and a right that send Bush crashing to the mat, dazed. Fred thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Jospeh Bush has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fred moves into the clinch successfully.
Bush fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bush throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bush is breathing heavily.
Fred lands a nice elbow.
Bush fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Fred's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bush fails in his attempt to clinch.

Fred closes the distance and pushes Bush back into the cage.
Bush wants to break free but Fred has control.
Bush is looking to break free of the clinch but Fred has double underhooks.
Bush really is a fat lump.

Fred has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bush clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fred loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Bush hold on?


Bush is rocked!


Jospeh Bush's cut is getting worse.
Fred is loading up with his shots from the back and Bush is in big trouble! Bush taps out to strikes and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ed Fred!
