Sampson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Off the Chain" by Serg Salinas. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson misses with a takedown
and Sampson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Rick Sampson has been cut.
Sampson is breathing heavily.
Sampson shoots for a takedown but Graves saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Graves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sampson.
Graves scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Graves looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sampson or perhaps it was just good defense by Graves, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Sampson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sampson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rick Sampson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sampson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Graves gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Sampson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

A very excited looking Jimmy Graves rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
