PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Bamusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emmanuel Gunines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunines moves into the clinch successfully.
Bamusto taking a breather.
Bamusto gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gunines.
Gunines goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bamusto prevents it.
Bamusto is trying to break free.
Bamusto jumps guard but Gunines stands there with Bamusto around his waist. Bamusto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gunines wants a takedown.
Augusto Bamusto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emmanuel Gunines.
Gunines is working for takedown but Bamusto is calmly controlling the position for now.
Gunines has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bamusto avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gunines wants to take the fight to the mat but Bamusto manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bamusto ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bamusto no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gunines must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bamusto is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gunines rolls with it to try and escape but Bamusto cranks on the arm and Gunines is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
