Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Bilkington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bilkington comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Head Bussa kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilkington fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bilkington steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Banner. That one must have hurt.
A slapping body kick lands there for Banner.
Banner seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bilkington shoots in but no luck this time.
Bilkington tries to bum rush Banner with a series of wild strikes but Banner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Banner throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bilkington's head.
Bilkington misses with a takedown attempt
and Banner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lamont Banner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Bilkington.

Banner scores with a kick to the midsection.
Bilkington is looking to clinch but Banner is avoiding it.
Banner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bilkington.

Banner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bilkington's head.

Banner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bilkington is controlling him.
Banner trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Banner changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bilkington with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Banner to score with a decent uppercut.
Bilkington chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Banner can pounce on him.

Banner lands a big head kick that sends Bilkington tumbling to the mat! Banner takes a step backwards and waves Bilkington back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Banner fakes the leg kick and cracks Bilkington in the body.
Bilkington is still on wobbly legs! Can Banner finish him?
Banner throws a head kick that Bilkington semi-blocks.
Bilkington shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banner pinned against the cage. Banner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bilkington is trying hard to land a takedown here. Banner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bilkington seems to have recovered his senses.

A punch lands to the side of Bilkington 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Bilkington wants to clinch up but Banner keeps it at a distance.
Banner thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bilkington if he has to take too many more of those.
Banner lands a head kick. Bilkington smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Bobby Bilkington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Banner closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Bilkington! Banner dives in looking to finish! Bilkington is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
