The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paulo darts in and clinches Montgomery up against the cage.
Paulo lands a hook that snaps the head of Montgomery backwards.

Paulo breaks from the clinch.

Paulo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Montgomery blocking some punches.

Montgomery gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Paulo regains guard.
Montgomery working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Paulo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paulo working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Montgomery has passed into half guard!
Paulo is trying to get back to full guard.

Paulo is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Montgomery lands a nice short elbow.
Paulo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Montgomery.

Paulo kicks Montgomery off and gets back to his feet.
Paulo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Montgomery is rocked!

It looks like Maria Montgomery has been cut.

Paulo darts in and clinches Montgomery up against the cage.
Oh Montgomery is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Paulo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Paulo catches Montgomery with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Montgomery forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
