Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Burley Haines and Tony Ramos . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Burley Haines! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Tony Ramos !
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Ramos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Haines has hold of one of Ramos 's legs. Ramos is fighting the takedown attempt but Haines gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ramos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Haines is one step ahead there.
Haines is fighting to break Ramos 's control of his arms but Ramos is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Ramos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haines gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Haines has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramos pulls Haines in close to prevent any damage.

Ramos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Haines manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Haines is trying to control the position but Ramos postures up.

Haines tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Haines has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramos makes his way to full guard, as Haines worked for a kimura.
Haines's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Haines trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ramos manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Haines looking to control but Ramos passes into half guard.

Haines tries to roll over but Ramos keeps him under control.
Ramos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haines keeps working.

Haines makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Haines.
Ramos wants to pass the guard but Haines is keeping the position.
Ramos trying to control the position from guard on top but Haines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ramos is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Haines has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ramos is looking to defend but Haines has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ramos ! Haines pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ramos taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Burley Haines!
Burley Haines tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
