The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johohanson tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johohanson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Harris misses with a straight left.
Harris lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Harris displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johohanson throws out the jab.

Johohanson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Harris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Johohanson throws a shot from downtown. Harris moves away and avoids it.

Harris loads up on a big right hand but Johohanson slips the punch.

It looks like Phil Harris has been cut.

Johohanson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Harris's elbow.

Harris is looking to control Johohanson's arms but Johohanson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Harris has his back to the ropes.

Harris tries to move into range but Johohanson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Dennis Johohanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Johohanson scores with a hook to the body. Harris takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Harris wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Harris walks into a big right hand from Johohanson and goes down! The referee sends Johohanson to a neutral corner as Harris gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Johohanson weaves into range and cracks Harris right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Harris goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Johohanson is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
