Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima closes the distance but Pato moves to the side
and Pato counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Pato clinches up against the cage.
Pato looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Pato.
Lima breaks the clinch.
Lima scores with a kick to the midsection.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pato stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pato wants it to stay on the feet.
Lima will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pato looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lima fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pato avoids it really well and circles away.
Pato throws a counter combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adriano Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pato rushes Lima and presses him up against the cage.

Lima prevents Pato from breaking the clinch.
Pato wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lima manages to break the clinch.
Lima closes the distance and clinches.
Pato has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lima decides to pull guard.
Pato decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lima, up you get!
Lima fails with the takedown.
Pato connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lima momentarily.
Lima fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pato avoids it really well and circles away.
Lima darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pato has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lima is on him like a limpet, forcing Pato back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lima breaks from the clinch.
Lima shoots in for a takedown but Pato shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lima tries to clinch but Pato moves out of range.
Pato scores with a one two! Lima had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lima.
Pato looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pato lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lima is rocked!
Lima throws a leg kick but Pato sees it coming and moves out of range.
Oh Lima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pato pushes Lima up against the cage in a clinch.

Pato is trying to break the clinch but Lima is controlling him.
Pato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lima tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pato sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lima somewhat.
Pato takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A jab lands there for Pato.
Lima throws a body kick that misses
and Lima takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Danga de danga de dang - Pato scores with a four punch combination!
Pato throws a head kick that misses.
Lima seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Pato shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Lima is backing up but Pato catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Lima covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Pato Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Pato!
