The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parlsh gets caught flat footed, as Money shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parlsh has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Parlsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Parlsh wants to get back to his feet but Money is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Money postures up in Parlsh's guard and throws a big left but Parlsh blocks it.
Parlsh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Money.
Money is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Money throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parlsh works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Money trying to control the position from guard on top but Parlsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Money is fighting to break Parlsh's control of his arms but Parlsh is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We've been hearing that Money has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Parlsh wants to get back to his feet but Money is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Money works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Money has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Money not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parlsh is staying active underneath Money, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Money looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Parlsh with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Parlsh is trying to stand.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A determined Eddie Money didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
