The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorma lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mendes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mendes misses with a head kick.
Jorma throwing a counter right hand but Mendes manages to avoid it.
Jorma throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mendes.

Mendes is rocked!

It looks like Jake Mendes has been cut.
Mendes looks to score with a jab to the body but Jorma is just out of range.
Mendes is still on wobbly legs! Can Jorma finish him?
We've been hearing reports that Jorma has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Mendes clinches.
Mendes seems to have recovered his senses.
Mendes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jorma smiles and moves away.
Mendes lands a nice shot to the body.
Jorma scores with a jab to the jaw.

Jorma drops Mendes with a big left hand and mounts him. Mendes is in big trouble!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jorma wants to finish this one by submission but Mendes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jorma.
Jorma can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mendes is looking to escape.
A big strike lands for Jorma! That's really hurt Mendes and he's turned his back - Jorma keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Jorma jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
