Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kalem Batten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Seid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batten comes to the cage accompanied by Collie Buddz - Defend Your Own. Patrick Seid has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Seid!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batten throws a right hand that Seid ducks under and follows up with a left that Seid also avoids with ease.
Seid avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Seid looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Seid tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Batten swivels and escapes.

Batten drives through with a takedown into guard.
Batten wants to pass the guard but Seid is keeping the position.
Batten controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Batten preventing the sweep.
Batten wants to get up but he can't break Seid's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Seid controls Batten momentarily but Batten frees himself.
Seid looks gassed!

Seid has his feet on Batten's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

It looks like Patrick Seid has been cut.

Batten drives through with a takedown into guard.
Batten tries to stand but Seid is controlling from the bottom.
Batten trying to control the position from guard on top but Seid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Batten not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Seid trying to keep a closed guard but Batten is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Seid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Batten gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Batten throws a front kick that sends Seid stumbling back into the cage.

Batten throws a right and a left that Seid avoids nicely.

Batten darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Seid is looking to control Batten's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Seid avoid being mounted?

Seid flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Batten not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Batten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Seid on the ground.
The fighters are battling for position here. Seid manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Batten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Seid shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Seid drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Batten gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Seid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Seid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Seid accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Seid gets to his feet - Batten follows without any prompting.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Seid misses with a takedown attempt
and Batten counters with a big head kick but Seid shrugs it off.
Batten lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Seid backs up against the cage.

Batten gets a clinch.
Batten throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Seid blocks it with crossed arms.
Batten lands with a right to the head.
Batten tries to score a body lock takedown but Seid shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Seid decides to pull guard.
Seid seems keen to control Batten's posture.
Seid keeping full guard, as Batten tries to pass.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Seid pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Batten looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Can Batten hold on?! Seid is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Batten trying to get back to his feet but Seid is in full control for now.
Seid lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Seid has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Batten.

Seid is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Seid scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Batten is looking for a way out.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Seid controlling the positon.
