The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Superior or perhaps it was just good defense by Hardwood, which made it look bad.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Superior shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hardwood manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Superior is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hardwood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Superior looking to control but instead Hardwood has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Superior is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hardwood sees it coming and defends easily.

Hardwood is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Superior pulls his head out easily.

Well Superior has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
