Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Claudemir Bonanza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jasper Daniel!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bonanza.
Daniel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bonanza looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bonanza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daniel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bonanza is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Daniel defends it well.
Daniel holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Daniel is trying to maintain the position but Bonanza is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniel preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Daniel manages to get to full guard.

Bonanza is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daniel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bonanza.
Bonanza is looking to work some ground and pound but Daniel has wrist control.
Bonanza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Daniel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bonanza is one step ahead there.
Bonanza trying to control but Daniel is working from the bottom.
Bonanza postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Daniel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bonanza, into his guard.

Bonanza has momentary wrist control but Daniel slips an elbow through the middle.
Daniel lands a couple of digs.
Bonanza looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Daniel cracks Bonanza with a solid left hand.
Bonanza is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Heart Cave that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Daniel wants to control from the top but Bonanza keeps moving.
Bonanza has his foot on Daniel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Daniel works his way back into a safe position though.
Daniel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bonanza's head.

Daniel is working Bonanza over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Daniel is sitting in close to Bonanza's body. Bonanza has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Daniel is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Daniel is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bonanza.
