Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brennan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Hawk swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Hawk pushes him off.

Hawk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hawk showed some decent athleticism there.
Hawk is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hawk tries to pass to full mount but Smith defends it.
Hawk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hawk uses his free foot to push down on Smith's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Smith.

Hawk has control of Smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brennan Smith.
Well Hawk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
