Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dion Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Costa Munteanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slater rushes Munteanu and presses him up against the cage.

Slater's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Munteanu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Munteanu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Slater defending against the ground and pound.
Slater is pushing Munteanu's head away, looking to escape. Munteanu manages to hold on to the position though.
Slater could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Slater is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Munteanu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slater keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Munteanu lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Slater down.
Slater is looking to regain half guard here but Munteanu keeps moving and retains side control.
Slater might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Munteanu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Slater, who protects the arm well.

Munteanu tries to move into full mount but can't pass Slater's legs.
Slater tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Munteanu easily slips into full mount!
Slater keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Munteanu with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slater tries to improve his position but Munteanu has taken his back! Munteanu has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Slater tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Munteanu pushes Slater away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
