These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tambling wants to clinch.
Jakiela tries to counter with a clinch but Tambling shakes him off and moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Tambling. Those never looked like landing.

Jakiela changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tambling looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tambling tries to bench press Jakiela off him but Jakiela keeps the position.

Jakiela has an Americana. Tambling didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jakiela is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jakiela hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Mateusz Jakiela decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
