A momentary lapse in concentration from Schulmann enables Whitaker Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Schulmann manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Whitaker Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Schulmann escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whitaker Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
