The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michael shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Norris pinned against the cage. Norris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Norris darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Michael is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Norris pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Norris connects with a nice short shot to Michael's temple.
Norris is taking a breather. Michael says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Norris looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Michael with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Norris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Norris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Despite being in the dominant position, Chuck Norris just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Norris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Michael looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Norris has picked Michael up and slammed him! Michael can't keep hold of the triangle and Norris manages to pass to side control!
