Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Zuev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Zuev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deair Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zuev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shaw.
Shaw fails to land the takedown.
Zuev wants to slow Shaw down by chopping away at his legs.
Shaw tries to counter with a clinch but Zuev shakes him off and moves away.
Shaw shoots in but Zuev avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Zuev misses with the combination.
Shaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zuev tries to avoid it but Shaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zuev to the ground. Zuev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alexander Zuev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deair Shaw.
Zuev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zuev wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Zuev. No joy for Shaw on that attempt.
Zuev went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zuev misses with a straight left.
Zuev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shaw.
Zuev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Alexander Zuev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zuev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shaw with the counter takedown but Zuev avoids it easily.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Zuev and Shaw goes tumbling to the canvas! Zuev follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


Shaw is rocked!


It looks like Deair Shaw has been cut.
Shaw is staying active underneath Zuev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Shaw is still in real trouble! Can Zuev finish him?
Zuev tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zuev is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Shaw is hurt! He's hurt bad - Zuev fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Shaw from any more punishment! Congratulations to Zuev! Great finish!
