Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mateo Da Vinci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unstable Roark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Da Vinci might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to CONQUEST. Roark has chosen Cult of personality as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roark lands a high kick!
Roark has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Da Vinci defending well as Roark loads up on a big left hand.
Da Vinci changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Da Vinci tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Da Vinci throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Roark tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Da Vinci is in Roark's guard.
Roark utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Da Vinci has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roark is looking to sweep but instead, Da Vinci has passed into half guard.

Da Vinci thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Roark's head.
Da Vinci is looking to take a break and control but Roark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Da Vinci takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Roark throws a leg kick that is checked
and Da Vinci counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nice uppercut lands for Roark. That snapped Da Vinci's head back.
Roark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Da Vinci paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Roark lands with a kick to the temple. Da Vinci shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Roark, as that shot connected.
Roark lands a nice looking kick to the body. Da Vinci takes a step back to recover.
Da Vinci looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Roark ducks under a wild hook from Da Vinci.
Roark tries a head kick but it misses.
Da Vinci swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Roark 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Da Vinci avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Da Vinci feinted with a counter takedown.
Roark connects with an inside leg kick.
Roark catches Da Vinci with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Roark lands a nice looking kick to the body. Da Vinci takes a step back to recover.
Roark is looking to chop away at Da Vinci's legs.
Da Vinci swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A lazy left from Roark finds it's target.
A punch lands to the side of Roark 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Da Vinci cracks Roark with an uppercut from hell and Roark crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Da Vinci's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Roark is rocked!

It looks like Unstable Roark has been cut.
Da Vinci missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
